Fear the Beatles!
Well you see...I work in a small office, and when the boss has some sensitive issues to talk about to you regarding your performance , he calls you in and I guess to muffle out the sounds of his verbal critic to the other employees in the office, he plays the Beatles.
It's kind of surreal... having your boss verbally slaughter you while "You know what to do", or "Happiness is a warm gun" is playing in the background.
I've learned to fear the Beatles...

Two in a row!
Another post since yesterday! I'm on a roll...
But seriously, I really have to make this a habit. todays day at work was good. had the whole morning to video edit a clients wedding video before they dropped by to view at at 3pm. Feedback was good, but we still haven't finalized the DVD chapter layout. That will have to wait till Monday.
I have to start learning from my mistakes. I can't afford to keep getting my self in trouble over stupid things. I hate to say this but sometimes I think I'm the kind of person that has to have really bad shit happen to him, before a lesson is learned.
Hope not. Cause that would suck!
I learned today that as nice an relaxed as a client may be, they will always expect you to know what they want, the way they want it. I wonder if "working girls" have the same problems with their "clients"

Time flies when your on the move
I cant believe it's been almost a year since my last post.
WOW!...
That's all i have to say about that. what has changed? new job, married, wife pregnant, I'm broke, and I still crash and make the same mistakes. I hope I'm a late bloomer cause if this is as good as it gets... I'm in serious trouble.
I'll try and make it 2 posts in a row. Maybe I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Malaysian Underground music
The state of understanding on the local underground music scene by the government is just appalling. It seems that nowadays if your not part of a major music label, a graduate of AF, or your name has “Siti” in it, your automatically characterized as a member of the “Black Metal” movement.
It’s sad to think that the authorities are reactive and not proactive, and this isn’t just related to music but a lot of things e.g.:
- The state of construction sites in this country is dreadful. Safety precautions are zero and we all know this. But it takes some rich guy with connections to get crushed by falling concrete slabs for the authorities to start making a “Whoo Haa” about it
- Snatch theft has been going on for so long, nothing was done, until a mother looses a life while being robbed. Suddenly it’s the highest priority, and a whole government campaign is launched.
Basically “Shit has to happen” before those with influence realize that “oh! We better fix this”. Certain local press don’t help things either by launching them self’s into a media frenzy like sharks tasting blood, going on about “social ills” putting up pictures, and pointing fingers without first investigating it, and understanding the issues at hand.
What’s also amusing is that your point about licensing issues. for live music venue you need an alcohol license, and a shit load of money. But you cant sell alcohol at gigs in fear of being shut down, and tagged as a negative social activity.
People have to start and learn that loud, fast, aggressive music isn’t always about the devil, and orgy’s!

Planes, Jet Lag and it's Effects...
So this lady, Sandrine Helene Sellies aged 34 is scared of flying. So on her journey from Hong Kong to Brisbane for a 3 week holiday in Australia she pops a few sleeping pills, drink some alcohol where after she is seen walking towards one of the planes door with an unlit cigarette and a lighter.
This is the best part! Lady Sandrine began tempering with the emergency exit until she is stopped by a flight attendant. When asked, she said she wanted to go out for a smoke!? Her defence lawyer said that lady Sandrine had no memory of what had transpired on the flight claiming she had a history of sleepwalking
This makes me wonder If any of those unexplained air accidents in the past had anything to do with “sleep walking” individuals.
Please for the love of God, life and all that is beautiful, sleeping pills and alcohol don’t mix!!
Another air related accident happened during G.W bush’s news conference at hotel in Beijing.
After answering only six questions Bush decided he had enough and made for the exit. After tugging at both door handles to no effect President Bush laughed and admitted “I was trying to escape. Obviously, it didn’t work”.
What was Bush attempting to escape from? well Mr Bush answered a range of questions before one reporter asked: "Respectfully, sir - you know we're always respectful - in your statement this morning with President Hu, you seemed a little off your game ( like that’s a new surprise ) , you seemed to hurry through your statement. There was a lack of enthusiasm. Was something bothering you?"
The president answered: "Have you ever heard of jet lag? Well, good. That answers your question." That is when President Bush decided to bolt for the child proof door. *grin* Ok it wasn’t a child proof door but come on President Bush is it so hard to exit the way you came in?!
An aide escorted him to the correct exit and on to dinner at the Great Hall of the People.
