The crippling earthquake!

One never realizes how much one relies on something till that something if yanked away. You take those hot water shower for granted till it’s 6am in the middle of winter. You take showers in general for granted till it’s the middle of summer and you can’t take a bath after the whole afternoon playing football! Don’t feel bad… it’s human nature. We don’t appreciate the bare necessities till the bare necessities turn bare.

Earthquake hits Taiwan. No big deal. It wasn’t that big, and it wasn’t a catastrophic loss of life. Live goes on. That is until you read in the local paper the next day that the earthquake damaged two under water fiber optic lines, and that basically there’s not going be any internet access for the next week, and that internet connection will only get back to normal in 3 weeks…

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s so much more I’d like to say on this matter. But why bother. I’m not in a bitchy mood today.

You take the internet for granted till it’s in the middle of the rainy season, and you cant use gmail for email, you cant surf the net for research ( what are library’s for ). And GASP!!!...you cant play World of Warcraft for 3 whole weeks!!!!!....
